Ok, so it's been forever since I've blogged. About a month ago Bryce and I decided we NEEDED to get away from the kids and just be a married couple! It was long overdue. We hadn't left the kids overnight since I was pregnant with Marlee, so it was definitely time. We found this cute little Bed and Breakfast tucked away in downtown Phoenix. It was surprisingly quiet and relaxing, especially being in the middle of a bustling city. Thanks SO much to Jen and Liesl for taking our kids so we could have some time alone together. It was a much needed vacation and it really rejuvenated us to survive being parents again. :) I highly recommend the overnight away from kids thing, and to make it two or more nights if possible!
The pool was a little run down, but it felt good and we had it all to ourselves.
What a pretty little place! It was old (built in the 1930s), but it was a fun place to escape to. Definitely overpriced, especially for it's age, but it was nice to have breakfast delivered to our room instead of having to get ready to eat, and having to eat with a bunch of weirdos you've never met. We'll probably do a regular hotel next time, but we'll definitely try to keep this a tradition.

It doesn't matter where you get away to, just as long as you do!!!!!!! We love ya! Nanny
it is a cute little place. I am glad you guys got to go too! and you look super cute in that picture!
Garth and I are doing that this weekend. His mom is coming to take the girls today and we will pick them up tomorrow. We are just staying home, but at least it's alone and we can relax!
It's so fun to get away. I must admit though it's hard for me to leave Teagen, I'm way too attached he needs a sibling then I might not feel too bad leaving him. So when is your due date?
Good for you. I've thought you guys were such a cute couple since you told me about a fondue place that was private to you could make out if you wanted.
How nice! Shay and I really need to get away, but Caden is still too young. Maybe in a few more months. Where was this place?
I'm so glad you got away! It keeps us sane! I miss you!
I LOVE overnighters without the kid! The best idea ever! My parents did it too and I used to get so mad at them for leaving me with sitters, but I can totally appreciate their need to get away now.
Looks like you guys had a great time! Those get aways are hard to come by, but so worth it! In answer to your questions, I was pregnant, but didn't know it yet, when I ran into you this summer. It was actually funny, because when you said you were pregnant, I thought, "Oh fun, so am I! Well....maybe...." We should find out what we're having in about a month. I'm totally fine with another boy. In fact, Steve has said that if he could choose he'd have all boys. I think I've finally come to agree with him, which is why I'm fairly certain we're going to have a girl now! Honestly, either way, I'm good! Glad you're doing well! Always good to hear from you!
HI Nettie, you look so good in that picture. That is a fun idea to get away. Dan and I have our tenth this year so we'll have to do something like that!
You guys look great and that looks like a cute place to stay. And so sunny! I'm glad you had a chance to get away!
Your story makes me miss the group of girls in AZ. I am so glad you got to get away, and that you have good friends to take you kids.
